Dress Code

Limerick Golf Club aims to operate a contemporary dress code in line with a modern-day member’s golf club. Neat, casual but smart dress in keeping with golfing traditions is required at all times. The following are the required standards to be adhered to by members and guests both on the golf course and in the clubhouse.

On The Golf Course

Golf shoes must be worn - soft spikes or studs (no metal spikes).

The following items are not permitted:

• Football, rugby, soccer, GAA or similar jerseys, tops, socks or shorts.
• Untailored shorts, cargo pants, combats, tracksuit pants or tops, leisure suits or similar.
• Sleeveless or collarless shirt/t-shirt, however:
  • Collarless golf tops may be worn.
  • Women may wear a shirt/t-shirt with a collar and no sleeves.
• Garments displaying slogans.
• Denim jeans.
• Beachwear.

In The Clubhouse

The same standards of dress apply in the clubhouse as on the golf course with the following exceptions:

• Golf shoes may not be worn upstairs.
• Golf hats, caps or head gear may not be worn upstairs.
• Tailored jeans with no fade or tears may be worn in the clubhouse.

Please Note

• Under no circumstances are golf shoes to be discarded at the bottom of the stairs or on the lower ground floor.
• Entry to the bar, restaurant or members lounge without shoes is not permitted.
• The clubhouse has every facility required for changing into and out of golf apparel. Changing in the car park is not encouraged.
• Members are responsible for ensuring that their guests adhere to the dress code.
